While having a beautiful collection of pictures is something I want to do, I really love the times and memories I have off social media when I get to finish off a book, while sitting in the sun, close to dozing off — full of yummy wine and good snacks. The moments people don’t see.
Most photos are edited to within an inch of their lives. Live your life, be yourself… those who stay — great! Those who go? It’s chilled, no love lost. With 7.9 billion people on the planet best to be your full self 💚 and if not now in this here second year of the pandemonium homie, WHEN?!
This book, Perfect by Rachel Joyce looks at how trying to live up to other people’s expectations can never leave you happy or satisfied. It leaves one living a hollow life (Nooo thanks babes 👍)
The story is odd, and sombre but hits home hard. Give it a try!

P.S. I love that my copy of the book is anything but perfect, it’s second hand, stained and folding at the edges from age and re reading. A story in itself. Love it.
